The Crew Makes a Difference
By Dave | December 20, 2008
One of the top reasons I love cruising is the crew. You get to see so many different people from many different places around the world. And while it’s great to see such diversity, it’s their personalities, for me, that makes each cruise unique. For the past two summers we’ve cruise on Carnival Spirit-class ships. So what made the Legend any different than the Miracle? It was the crew.
What I remember most about our Legend cruise in 2007 was dinner. Our waiter, Roberto, was great at what he did. He talked to us extensively and knew us like we were old friends. He told us about his family and we told him about ours. It was a very personal experience. And it’s because of him that the Legend became a unique cruise for us and not just “that cruise in 2007.”
In 2008, it was our assistant cruise director Josh, aka Big Sexy as he liked to be called, that made that cruise unique. We’ve never had such a good time at the activities as we did this past cruise. He brought a different energy to the trivia sessions that made them stand out. It was his bean bag toss that made those long sea days in the lobby fun and interesting. And for his hard work, the 2008 cruise became a unique cruise in my memory, not just “that cruise in 2008.”
As you can see, the crew really can make a difference on your cruise. Have you ever had a stand-out crew member make your cruise memorable? I’m sure most people have.

One of the most important aspects of a cruise is its crew. They truly make a difference and add quality to the cruise by making people feel at home and comfortable. As courtesy is a standing rule in any industry, the major cruise lines have ingrained this into their culture and have added value to their services. Please visit:http://www.cruiseone.com/

You’re right. The crew always do their best to make the guests comfortable. The crew I’ve spoken to say they genuinely enjoy taking care of the guests. That’s a nice thing to know.
