More Carnival Dream Pictures

By Dave | July 26, 2008

This isn’t really new news, but I figured I share some more pictures of Carnival’s upcoming Carnival Dream with you.

(All photos are © Carnival.)

Outdoor cafe

Outdoor cafe

This is something I’m excited about: the outdoor cafe. I’m still not entirely sure what this is all about, but my hope is that it will be another restaurant choice. If so, this should be really cool. An outdoor cafe would definitely be a great addition. You’ll also notice the hot tub on the left. Those hot tubs (there will be several of them) extend out from the ship, which is neat. I probably won’t go in them, but it’s still interesting.

Carnival Waterworks

Carnival Waterworks

Carnival Waterworks, which is already being installed on the Fantasy-class ships, is going to be included on the Dream. However, the Dream’s Waterworks is expected to be larger than the Fantasy class’. For those who don’t know, Waterworks is pretty much a water park. There are fountains, a large twister water slide, and two racing water slides.

Splash park

This appears to be for kids, at least based on it’s color scheme. Seems to have a couple water slides and fountains. Yeah, this is most likely part of the expanded Camp Carnival area.

That does it for the pictures, but that doesn’t do it for all the new features to be found on the Carnival Dream. Here’s a list of some of them:

Overall it sounds like the Carnival Dream is going to be a big step forward for Carnival. In my opinion, it’s about time they start bringing out brand new features. It seemed like for years all the ships that were coming out had the same lounges, bars, and other public areas. Nothing new. Except for maybe mini-golf and the outdoor theater. They really did a good job with the Dream. Of course, I have my own vision of the perfect ship, which I’ll post in the future. But this is definitely a step in the right direction!
